OTBC: Martin Peters tribute + review of the decade

27 December 2019

Saturday’s matchday programme includes a special tribute to the late, great Martin Peters and a comprehensive look back at an action-packed decade, featuring star writers.

Peters, who sadly passed away last Saturday, is an England legend – scoring in the 1966 World Cup final – and spent five memorable years at Norwich City, where he twice picked up the Player of the Season award. OTBC has 13 pages of tribute to the great man, including the story of one of English football’s most iconic careers, as well as a special cover.

We also have a 20-page review of the 2010s – a decade that saw four promotions, a catalogue of new heroes, a Wembley triumph, stunning strikes, the magic of Wes, the horror of Luis Suarez, steamrolling Ipswich, pigeon-rescuing, last-minute winners and much, much more. It’s certainly not been boring, and we asked 13 writers and broadcasters – including Chris Goreham, Michael Bailey, Donovan Blake and Rob Butler – to pick their highs, lows, Best XIs and plenty more from the last 10 years.

It’s an epic read to close out the decade, and exclusive to Saturday’s OTBC.

Elsewhere we get former Norwich and Spurs forward Paul McVeigh’s top threes from his career, and there’s the usual regular features and columns from Daniel Farke, Steve Weaver, Chris Goreham and Nick Miller.

That’s 116 pages for just £3.50!
