This week, Norwich City will be joining other Premier League clubs and organisations to support this year’s Stonewall Rainbow Laces campaign as we continue to celebrate LGBT inclusion and make it clear that football is for everyone.
Stonewall is the UK’s leading charity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) equality both in England and overseas and works within football to promote the acceptance of the LGBT+ community and address homophobia in football.
From today, the Club’s social media accounts will feature a rainbow-coloured crest to help promote the Stonewall campaign and a rainbow presence at Carrow Road will be highlighted on Sunday, December 8 for our Premier League fixture against Sheffield United, including a pitch flag, ball plinth, handshake board and substitutes board. Rainbow-coloured captain’s armbands and laces will also be available for players.
As part of Stonewall’s ‘TeamPride’, Coca-Cola and Aviva will also be present at Sunday’s fixture. Coca-Cola representatives will be handing out bespoke rainbow branded Coca-Cola cans with City’s, Community Partner Aviva giving away rainbow Laces to fans outside the stadium ahead of kick-off.
Norwich City is committed to making football a game for everybody and do not tolerate homophobic or discriminatory language. If you hear or see anything you consider offensive, text us on 07931235513 or email email@example.com and we will treat your correspondence in the strictest confidence. Your co-operation in helping to make Carrow Road a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone is greatly appreciated.
