It was another busy weekend for Norwich City's players out on loan, with Canaries featuring across the EFL, around Europe and in the U.S.
Walsall won a five-goal thriller with Bradford City at the Banks’s Stadium in Sky Bet League One, with Matt Jarvis playing 89 minutes.
The west Midlands side had to play the majority of the game with ten men after top scorer Andy Cook was sent off in the sixth minute.
But, a double from Josh Gordon either side of a Joe Edwards strike was enough to help the Saddlers see off their Yorkshire opponents.
In the Championship, Nelson Oliveira played the full 90 minutes as Reading drew 1-1 at home to Rotherham United.
Reading took the lead in the first-half through Ovie Ejaria but Rotherham responded ten minutes from time when Semi Ajayi turned home a Will Vaulks cross.
Sean Raggett was absent from the Rotherham matchday squad.
In the same division, Ben Marshall played 90 minutes in Millwall’s 3-1 home defeat to Preston North End.
Preston stormed to a three-goal lead at the interval after goals from Andrew Hughes, Tom Clarke and Sean Maguire.
Millwall replied after the break but could not get anything from the game, as their first-half performance ultimately cost them.
Elsewhere, James Husband played the full 90 minutes as Fleetwood Town edged out Burton Albion 1-0 at the Pirelli Stadium.
The only goal of the game came in the 67th minute when Ashley Nadesan finished Paddy Madden’s cross at the back post.
In League Two, Tristan Abrahams was introduced as a 10th minute substitute as Yeovil Town picked up a crucial three points at home to Cambridge United.
Abrahams came on when Yoann Arquin was forced off and he helped Yeovil to a priceless victory. Courtney Duffus’ strike in the 25th minute was the difference.
In Scotland, Steven Naismith played 90 minutes as Hearts drew 1-1 with Premiership basement club St. Mirren.
Clevid Dikamona’s header gave Hearts the lead but it was cancelled out in the second-half after an own goal by Sean Clare.
AFC Fylde booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Trophy at the weekend, beating Barnet on penalties after a goalless draw in normal time. Timi Odusina was an unused substitute.
In Holland, Simon Power came on a 77th minute substitute for FC Dordrecht on Friday night as they came from behind to beat Cambuur 3-1 in the Eerste Divisie.
In Germany, Marcel Franke played 90 minutes as SV Darmstadt beat Dynamo Dresden in 2.Bundesliga.
Across the Atlantic, Caleb Richards and Tampa Bay Rowdies kept up their preparations for the new USL Championship season with a 4-0 friendly win over Georgia Southern Athletics.
