4 February 2019

Simon Power scored his first goal for FC Dordrecht since getting loaned out to the Eerste Divisie side last month.

The City youngster started Dordrecht’s fightback from 3-1 down against Jong Ajax to draw 3-3 to move up to 17th in the table.

Elsewhere in Europe; Marcel Franke started and played the full 90 minutes for SV Darmstadt, but the German side suffered a 3-2 defeat away against MSV Duisburg.

The 2.Bundesliga side were 3-0 down with 15 minutes to play, and despite late goals from Soren Bertram and Christoph Moritz, Franke’s side were unable to complete the comeback.

In Scotland, Steven Naismith scored the match winning goal for Hearts in the Scottish Premier League against Kilmarnock. The forward stroked from the edge of the six-yard box after a well worked free kick routine.

In England, two of City’s loanee’s were set to face each other; however Sean Raggett wasn’t included in Rotherham United’s match day squad as the Millers drew 0-0 against a Millwall side which featured Ben Marshall.

The on-loan City midfielder started and played the full 90 minutes for the Lions who now sit 20th in the table, four points above Rotherham United who now lay one place below Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship.

Yanic Wildschut is still recovering from injury which meant he wasn’t involved in Bolton’s 2-0 loss against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Second-half goals from the clinical Blades pairing of David McGoldrick and Billy Sharp were enough to ease past the Trotters.

Reading's Nelson Oliveira started against Aston Villa at the weekend in their 0-0 draw at the Madejski Stadium; however the striker was forced off with a nasty head wound late in the second half.

The Portuguese forward was stood on in a challenge by Tyrone Mings, and Oliveira was left with deep cuts on his face although Reading released a statement on Sunday that he has had surgery and is recovering well.

Left- back James Husband played the full 90 minutes for Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town on Saturday as they picked up a win against 5th placed Charlton Athletic.

Ched Evans found the net after a well-executed half-volley from inside the penalty area to give Fleetwood the three points and move them up to 10th in the League One table.

Matt Jarvis played the full game for Walsall but was on the losing team after getting beat 2-1 against Rochdale with Ethan Hamilton’s 60th minute strike cancelling out Joe Edwards first half equaliser.

Tristan Abrahams was an unused substitute for Yeovil Town after joining the League Two side earlier this week. Abrahams’ new side lost 1-0 against Stevenage which leaves them on 22 points, eight above Notts County at the foot of the table.

Mason Bloomfield and Timi Odusina’s AFC Fylde were not involved in any action at the weekend, but come up against Ramsbottom United in the FA Trophy Third Round on Tuesday (19.45 Kick-off) after beating Biggleswade Town at home in the last round.

And finally, Billy Johnson has returned back to Norwich following his short-loan with Lowestoft town, but the ‘keeper was named Lowestoft’s January Player of the Month.
