Under-23s take on Forest in Premier League Cup

25 February 2019

Norwich City’s Under-23s travel to Alfreton Town’s Impact Arena to take on Nottingham Forest in their final game of this season's Premier League Cup (3pm kick-off).

The Canaries are unable to progress through to the final 16 due to their previous results, however the Reds have already secured a place in the next round.

Nottingham Forest beat City in the reverse fixture when the two sides met at Colney Training Centre in November, with Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel’s first-half tap in the only goal of a well-contested game.

City were last in action over a week ago when they came up against Premier League 2 high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers. David Wright’s side lost 4-0, despite dominating large periods of the game.

Forest have only had the weekend to rest after playing against Leeds United in the Professional Development League on Friday. The Reds were 2-0 up with goals coming from Avrin Appiah and Leo Bonatini, but two second-half goals from Leeds meant the game finished 2-2.
