Under-18s take on league leaders on Saturday

28 February 2019

Norwich City’s Under-18s travel to Arsenal’s London Colney Training Centre on Saturday to take on the Gunners in their latest U18 Premier League game (11am kick-off).

The Canaries come into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat at home last Saturday against Fulham, in what was a close match which went down to the wire.

The Cottagers took the just before half-time when Fabio Carvalho's driven left-footed shot from a tight angle found the bottom right corner. City kept the visitors out and pushed looking for an equaliser, but Fulham doubled their lead with five minutes of normal time to play.

City face an even tougher challenge on Saturday, as they come up against the league leaders who have lost just two league games this season, scoring 50 goals in the process.

The Gunners were last in action against Southampton at the Staplewood Training Centre, with the Reds coming away with three points after a convincing 3-1 victory.

Trae Coyle opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Florian Balogun bagged his 15th goal of the season to put the visitor’s two goals ahead before half-time. The Saints pulled a goal back just after the half-time interval, but Mark McGuinness’ goal with eight minutes from time secured all the points.
