Norwich City’s Under-23s are back in Premier League 2 action as they travel to the Sir Jack Haywood Training Ground to face Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight (7pm kick-off).
Last time City featured in the league was on February, 1 when David Wright’s side lost 6-2 against West Brom at Colney Training Centre.
The Canaries were 3-0 down at half-time but kept on fighting in the second half and with early goals from Alfie Payne and Adam Idah were back in it. However the visitors proved too strong for the City defence.
Norwich currently sit 11th in the table with six league games to play, and could move as high as 8th with a win, which shows just how close the bottom half of the PL2 Division 2 table is.
The game is going to be tough for City, with Wolves sitting 2nd in the table, three points off league leaders Southampton with a game in hand, whilst also boasting by far the best goal difference with a +18 goal difference.
Wolves beat Fulham 1-0 last time they were in action in the competition, with Niall Ennis’ second-half penalty proving to be the difference between the two sides who were at the opposite ends of the table.
