Under-18s travel to West Ham on Saturday

11 January 2019

Norwich City Under-18s travel to Little Heath Training Ground on Saturday to take on West Ham United in the Under-18s Premier League South (12pm kick-off).

The Canaries got off to winning ways in 2019 after beating Reading Under-18s at Colney Training Centre last Saturday, with goals coming from Andrew Omobamidele and Finlay Barnes.

This was City’s second league win of the season, and the Under-18s will be hoping to take the momentum into Saturday’s game against West Ham and then again in the FA Youth cup against Preston North End.

Norwich met West Ham United on the opening day of the season, and City were beat convincingly on that day in August losing 4-1 with a hat-trick from Bernardo Costa Da Rosa putting the game out of City’s reach.

West Ham Under-18s were beaten convincingly against Southampton at Staplewood Training Ground last time out. The Saints scored three times in the last 10 minutes to push the Hammers down to 7th in the table.

17-year-old Veron Parks has scored five goals for West Ham in the Under-18s Premier League this season, and another two with Under-23s side scoring against both Everton and Swansea in the PL2.
