Charity entries for Run Norwich 2019 are now open and the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation (CSF) is urging City fans to run on their behalf.
This year's run will take place on Sunday, July 21, and the Foundation is looking for people to be part of Team CSF on the day.
Emma Fletcher, Senior Fundraising and Events Manager for CSF, said: “Most fans will already know about the fantastic work that the Foundation does in the community and Run Norwich is a brilliant chance to help us raise some valuable funds while taking part in an amazing city event.
“People that are willing to fundraise at least £100 for the Foundation can claim their free spot in Run Norwich 2019.”
Last year saw the 10km road race sell out in a matter of weeks with a record 7,000 entries, and demand for places is expected to be equally high for the 2019 race.
A two-day priority entry window for those who wish to fundraise for an official race charity such as CSF ends at 9am on Thursday, January 24, when general entry opens for affiliated and unaffiliated runners.
The Foundation relies on fundraising from events such as Run Norwich to sustain many of their programmes that help disadvantaged and disabled people in Norfolk achieve a wide range of goals.
In 2018, CSF announced a fundraising campaign to raise money towards the cost of building a multi-purpose sports hub in Horsford, known as The Nest.
