Loan Round-Up: Husband features for Fleetwood Town in 2-0 win

James Husband featured for Fleetwood Town in their 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, taking them to 10th position in the League One table.

Husband replaced Ryan Rydel in the 66th minute as second-half goals from Jason Holt and Ash Hunter secured them three points. And the win puts them within five points of Doncaster in sixth place.

Elsewhere in League One, Matt Jarvis remained out of the Walsall squad after picking up a minor ankle injury a couple of weeks back. Walsall got off to a good start against Sunderland with a goal from Josh Gordon in the fourth minute, but Lee Cattermole equalised before Will Grigg got a second with 19 minutes to go.   

In the Sky Bet Championship, Ben Marshall was not included in the squad for Millwall’s defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Sixth Round of the FA Cup, with his side missing out on a place in the semi-finals on penalties.

Nelson Oliveria [Reading], Sean Raggett [Rotherham United] and Yanic Wildschut [Bolton Wanderers] all missed out on action through injury.

In League Two, Tristan Abrahams played the first half for Yeovil Town in their 2-0 defeat at home to Macclesfield. He was substituted in the 46th minute for Bevis Mugabi.

AFC Fylde were in action in the semi-final of The FA Trophy, but they were unable to make the home advantage count with the game ending 0-0.

Timi Odusina replaced Arlen Birch 46 minutes in, but Fylde weren’t able to capitalise on their chances late on, with the second leg set to be played at Edgeley Park next weekend. Mason Bloomfield was still absent from the team after suffering a broken arm.  

In Scotland, Steven Naismith remains out of action for Hearts after picking up a knee injury, and over in the Netherlands, Simon Power was not included in the squad for FC Dordrecht’s 3-2 win over Roda.

In Germany, Marcel Franke played the full 90 minutes for SV Darmstadt in their 3-2 victory over Hamburger SV on Saturday.

Across the pond, Caleb Richards made his second league start for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in their USL Championship match at the Al Lang Stadium.

The City youngster played the full 90 minutes as goals from Shawn Barry and Zach Steinberger gave them their second win over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
