Norwich City welcome back Louis Thompson who is available for tomorrow’s game against Middlesbrough whilst the players who returned from international duty are also all available.
Daniel Farke shared that Thompson is back and available for tomorrow’s trip to Middlesbrough after being out with an injury he sustained against Tottenham Under-23s in a Premier League International Cup fixture in January.
“Louis Thompson was outstanding for the first few days back in team training,” said Daniel Farke. “We were like, how can he be this outstanding after being out for so long.”
“Louis struggled a bit after the first days, but my feeling is after four or five weeks back in team training he is ready. He was out for so long, so it’s not easy for him but I am happy to have him back and he is available for tomorrow.”
Teemu Pukki and Kenny McLean were amongst the players to return to team training this week after being away on international duty, and the boss provided a positive update on their fitness.
“We are all okay, some players were a bit tired and some had some slight knocks during their games, but all have recovered, back and available tomorrow.
“Some players were in on Tuesday, some in Wednesday and trained for the first time today, but it’s the same for each and every club, but I’m just glad that there are no other international breaks between now and the end of the season.
“In general, you wish the players who were involved in the season have less game time, but I can’t influence this because I understand the national teams want to be successful as well.
“But it’s important how we handle this situation; we have to handle it in a smart way. Teemu [Pukki] had two games for Finland and we gave him an individual recovery, but Timm Klose, who didn’t play was involved in team training.
“It’s good in general, we have trained focused and concentrated, and the last few days have been good.”
