Norwich City hosted its Class of 2019 Scholars Graduation on Friday evening in the Top of the City as the Club recognised the achievements of the group.
The evening was hosted by BBC Radio Norfolk presenter Chris Goreham who opened the event and announced the players who were being presented with awards for their academic achievements.
Adam Idah, Daniel Barden, Atli Barkarson, Finlay Barnes, Ryan Dickerson, Anis Mehmeti, Saul Milovanovic, Jordan Thomas and Isak Thorvaldsson all received their BTEC qualifications with Louis Lomas, Aaron Ekumah and Connor Parsons achieving the Double Distinction Star.
Next up was the Kelly’s Bronze Turkeys Award for Educational Achievement and three awards were given out by Samantha Roberts, Academy Education Manager, with each award representing a different age group.
The winners were:
Under-16s: Nelson Khumbeni
Under-17s: Zach Dronfield
Under-18s: Aaron Ekumah
Under-18s Captain and first year scholar Dronfield said: "It was brilliant to receive the award as it not only shows that the Club rewards the work on the pitch but off it as well.
"It was also good to have all the lads back together after a long season full of hard work to celebrate our achievements over the course of the season."
First year scholars Dronfield and Ethen Vaughan then handed out their own ‘silly awards’ to the group as voted for by the players themselves, before the evening drew to a close.
