1 November 2019

Norwich City Football Club can confirm that a public funeral service for Duncan Forbes will take place at Carrow Road on Friday, November 15.

Club legend Forbes amassed 357 appearances over a 13-year period, before later going on to work for the both the club’s commercial and scouting departments. He sadly passed last week following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

The funeral service will take place pitchside at Carrow Road, with gates to the seating in the lower tier of the Barclay Stand open at 10am. Guests are asked to take their seats at 10.45am ahead of the service commencing at 11am. The service is scheduled to last approximately 45 minutes.

Those attending are encouraged to wear club scarves in memory of Duncan.

Following the service the cortege will then depart Carrow Road at approximately midday, with the Russell Allison Lounge then open to all for refreshments.

Note, there will be no on-site parking at Carrow Road for the service.

The Forbes family have asked that any donations in memory of Duncan are gifted to Alzheimer’s Research UK. Donations can be made via Allcock Family Funeral Services both at the service itself, or online by clicking here.

In order to ensure a smooth and respectful service, those interested in attending are asked to register their interest online via the below form. This will better allow the club to plan the service.
