Norwich City believes in the Huuhkajat

11 November 2019

Coming soon to the official Norwich City YouTube channel, an exclusive look behind-the-scenes with Teemu Pukki and the Finland national team.

It all comes down to two crucial UEFA European Championship qualifiers for Pukki and the Finland national team.

Two points from their final two Group J qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Greece will secure a landmark maiden appearance at a major international tournament for the Huuhkajat.

And Norwich City have teamed up with official club partner Best Fiends, who have offices in Helsinki, to document a potentially historic moment in Finnish football, with the club documentary set for release in mid-December.

The documentary will also detail some wider activity in Finland, as Norwich City publicly demonstrates its support for Pukki and the Finland national team, under the project title ‘We Believe in the Huuhkajat’.

There will be an official live screening of the Finland-Liechtenstein game in a venue near the sold-out Telia 5G Arena in Helsinki, plus messages of support displayed around the city in the lead up to the fixture.

The club will also sell official merchandise at a pop-up store in the Kamppi Shopping Center on the Friday and Saturday.

The club’s Head of Commercial Operations Sam Jeffery told canaries.co.uk: “This is something we’re really excited about. The project has been turned around pretty quickly, and our initial conversations were really well received by the people of Finland.

“Working with our Helsinki-based partners Best Fiends, we are delighted to be showing our support to Teemu and the Finland national team for what we all hope will be an historic occasion.

“Finland is an important market for a lot of our work across a number of departments at our club and we’re confident that this will be something our supporters across the world can be extremely proud of.”

Further details surrounding the release of the club documentary will be announced in due course.
