Norwich City U18s to play Newcastle United in FA Youth Cup Round 3

18 November 2019

Norwich City Under-18s will begin their 2019-20 FA Youth Cup campaign with a third-round fixture against Newcastle United on Tuesday, December 10 (7pm kick-off) at Carrow Road.

Both City and Newcastle are entering the tournament at the third-round stage, with the winner of this fixture progressing to the last 32 of the competition.

Last year, the Canaries made it to the fourth round in a very competitive campaign. The young City side started their quest with a tough game right off the bat, beating Port Vale 3-2 in the third round, before suffering a 3-0 loss to Preston North End U18s to end their Youth Cup hopes earlier than anticipated.

The 2019-20 U18s squad will be aiming to replicate the success of Neil Adams’ squad from 2012-13, who took the silverware home after an aggregate win over Chelsea in the final.

Tickets for the game are £3 for adults and £1 for over-65s and under-18s. The Wensum Area of the City Stand will be open for supporters. Supporters can pay cash at the turnstiles on the night. Please note tickets will not be sold in advance.
