Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki has been awarded an international call-up to represent Finland in the upcoming international break following his performances for the Canaries.
The Finland international has played every game in City’s Premier League campaign this season. Pukki has scored six goals and assisted two in his eleven matches, his first goal in the top-flight coming against Liverpool in the first game of the season.
Pukki could feature for Finland in their UEFA EURO 2020 qualifiers against Liechtenstein on Friday, November 15 (5pm kick-off) and Greece on Monday, November 18 (7:45pm kick-off).
Finland currently sit 2nd in Group J of the qualifiers, with 15 points. Whilst Italy have already booked their place to the Euros, one spot remains. Currently Finland are five points clear of Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with just two points required to guarantee their qualification. Should Finland qualify, it would be the first time in their history that they've made it to a major tournament.
Pukki has made 75 appearances for Finland previously, scoring 20 times for his country, most recently finding the back of the net twice against Armenia, helping the side reach a 3-0 victory.
