Norwich City played host to An Evening Of Queen, as a collection of London’s West End stars thrilled over 3,000 spectators at Carrow Road on Friday.
In a special tribute to the legendary rock band, lead duo Natalie Hope and Ricardo Afonso performed a selection of Queen’s classic tracks including We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga and Fat Bottomed Girls.
The Queen tribute evening followed on from a summer of other successful non-footballing activities at Carrow Road, which have included a Take That concert and a professional wrestling event.
“It was a great night for all involved,” Chief Operating Officer Ben Kensell told canaries.co.uk. “It also goes to show how Carrow Road has become a multi-purpose, flexible venue for a range of events and functions.
“On behalf of everyone at Norwich City, we’d like to thank all cast and crew for a really enjoyable evening.
“We look forward to sharing more details about some exciting upcoming events in the near future.”
