Kieran Dowell says he's settling in well to life at Norwich City after notching his first goal in the yellow and green colours.
Dowell scored and assisted another in City's 3-0 victory over SC Verl in their second pre-season fixture on Monday afternoon.
The former Everton man says he's hit the ground running and he looking forward to more challenges in the coming weeks as City prepare for the 2020-21 season.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk after his latest outing, Dowell said: "It was another good run out. We scored loads of goals again and it was nice to keep another clean sheet.
"I'm getting used to how the boss wants me to play. I feel like I've taken to it quite well so far. Hopefully I'll improve as we go on.
"I've settled in really well, it's a top set of lads. It's better to come away as well as you're spending time with them 24/7 and you're in each other's faces a lot more so it's much better.
"It's all about testing yourselves in different ways. The boss said they (Verl) had had a few games already in pre-season and a couple of good results.
"It was a harder test and the next couple will be even tougher. But it's what we need."
"It was nice to get off the mark, albeit in pre-season. It's always nice score goals and then to set one for up for Adam was really nice.
"It was some finish from Adam to go back across the 'keeper. It was a brilliant goal."
Reflecting on pre-season so far, Dowell said: "It's been a tough pre-season so far for the first week. You're trying to get fit and ready for the new season, obviously things have been condensed into just a few weeks.
"We've got it perfect to be fair - we're putting the work in but it's enjoyable. It helps that we're with the staff all the time so we can recover properly because the games are coming fast."
