Norwich City Under-18s striker Abu Kamara described his hat-trick against Wolves Under-18s as a surreal feeling on Friday night.
Steve Weaver’s Canaries beat Wolves 4-2 in the FA Youth Cup at St. George’s Park, Kamara getting in all the right places to net a memorable hat-trick.
“It felt surreal,” he said. “It was a big stage to do it on and I’m just happy with the three goals, but I’ve got to thank my teammates for the opportunities they gave me.
“In training, we work on movement patterns, so I make certain movements to get in those positions. Today, I got on the end of a lot of crosses.
“Wolves are a good side so credit to them. They gave us a good game but we came out superior this time.
“The coaching staff have been a massive part of it, telling us individually what we need to do in order for us to gel as a team and that showed again tonight with a really good performance.”
The win sets up a fourth round tie against West Ham United at Carrow Road, and Kamara kept his message short and sweet regarding the next stage of the tournament.
“Me and the boys are all pumped and ready for West Ham!”
