Norwich City travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday (3pm KO).
Our Match Preview looks at Rovers’ season so far, the officials in charge of the game, and provides information on how supporters can follow the action live.
Blackburn are enjoying their season so far, sitting tenth with 25 points after 17 games. As the halfway point approaches, anything can happen for Rovers, who are just nine points away from the Canaries in first.
Rovers had a difficult opening to the season, losing out to AFC Bournemouth in a competitive 3-2 result in the first league game of the season, before being beaten by Newcastle United in the EFL Cup just three days later.
Blackburn more than made up for this however, beating Wycombe Wanderers and Derby County with consecutive 5-0 and 4-0 scorelines
Since then, Blackburn have gone on to win seven of their 17 games, drawing four and losing six.
Having recently lost 1-0 to Bristol City on the same night the Canaries beat Nottingham Forest, the Lancashire side will be looking to right their wrongs with a home win over Daniel Farke’s squad.
There have been 45 meetings between City and Rovers since 1912, resulting in 14 wins, 19 defeats and 12 draws for Norwich.
Last time we met, three goals in the first 23 minutes was enough to see City take a 2-1 win over Rovers, thanks to goals from Marco Stiepermann and Mario Vrancic. City fans may also remember this win was enough to seal the Canaries' promotion to the Premier League!
Dean Whitestone has been appointed to oversee proceedings on Wednesday night, Nik Barnard and Craig Taylor his assistants and David Webb the fourth official.
Whitestone was last in charge of a City game back in January 2011, when Norwich lost 1-0 to Leyton Orient in the FA Cup, and he handed out four yellow cards.
