15 December 2020

Norwich City travel to Reading as they look to increase their lead at the top of the Sky Bet Championship on Wednesday (8pm KO).

Our Match Preview takes a look at Reading’s season so far, the officials in charge of the match, and how you can follow the action live from home.

The opposition

Reading have had a positive season so far in the Championship, winning ten games, drawing three and losing five of the opening 18 fixtures.

Lucas João has been on excellent form, scoring 14 goals in all competitions.

In the league, the Royals went eight games unbeaten at the start of 2020/21, winning seven and drawing just once.

A spell of four successive defeats followed before Veljko Paunović’s side got back on track.

Ahead of Wednesday’s game, Reading are fifth in the league, four points behind Norwich.

Last time at the Madejski Stadium, goals from Teemu Pukki and Mario Vrancic secured a 2-1 win for the Canaries.

Ref watch

Geoff Eltringham has been appointed to take charge of Wednesday’s game, Graham Kane and Mark Russell his assistants and Darren Bond the fourth official.
