Norwich City is delighted to once again show support for The Wonder Tree campaign in partnership with SOUL Church.
Last year’s fundraising efforts meant that over 1,000 children received a gift, with two first-team players also surprising youngsters at a school to hand out their presents.
The Wonder Tree exists to bring hope and joy to children in Norwich this Christmas. In the midst of a global pandemic, the lives of children and families have been turned upside down and the need is greater than ever before. Therefore, we are asking for your support and kind donations towards gifts for children in our community who may otherwise go without.
With each £10 donation, a board game is purchased which will be individually wrapped and delivered to children in partnering local schools in time for Christmas. The intention is that a board game will provide an activity for children to do with their families on Christmas Day.
Jon Norman, Senior Pastor of SOUL Church and Norwich City Football Club, said: “The Wonder Tree initiative is a fantastic collaboration with Norwich City, making a difference in the lives of children in Norwich. We can't do everything, but together we can do something to bring joy this Christmas!”
Norwich City player Max Aarons, added: “During these difficult times, it’s important that we are working together to help those that are struggling and, by getting involved with the Wonder Tree initiative, we can all help families have a great Christmas.”
