FPL Round-Up: January winner announced

3 February 2020

The official FPL league has a new winner for the month of January.

By the end of January, it was Ian Skates' 'Pukki Party' who finished top dog with a total of 331 points from Gameweeks 21-24. Congratulations, Ian! Keep an eye on your e-mail inbox for details on how to claim your prize.

The month kicked off pretty well for Ian, when a dream-team performance for Jack Grealish and a vice-captained Mohamed Salah earned him 33 points between them. In total, Ian took in 68 points from GW21, 20 points above the average.

GW22 was where it all fell into place for Ian’s side, after a captained Sergio Aguero earned him a whopping 40 points. Other notable performances came from Lucas Digne and Kevin De Bruyne, with the whole team racking up 94 in a single week.

The two most recent game weeks gave Ian 84 and 85 points respectively, leaving him top of the Canaries for the end of the month.

For the Canaries, there wasn’t too much to make a song and dance about. Teemu Pukki finished with the highest points tally of the month, taking in 21 points after getting his name on the scoresheet against AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur.

Tim Krul picked up 20 points throughout the month, courtesy of clean sheets against the Cherries and Newcastle United.

The defenders stole the show this month, after the same clean sheets that gave Krul his points were also shared with the backline, with Sam Byram and Max Aarons enjoying the point intake the most, taking 17 after their performances in the month.
