It’s a night under the lights for Norwich City’s Under-23s, as they hit the road to face West Bromwich Albion at Aggborough Stadium on Monday (7pm kick-off).
The Canaries will be hoping to take a win from this difficult fixture, as they continue their chase of a play-off spot for promotion to Division 1 of the Premier League 2.
Three points would see them continue their climb of the table, most notably placing pressure on fifth place Middlesbrough, who without a win of their own, would have the Canaries sit just three points behind them.
The last five games have been mostly positives for the young City side, winning three and losing two, taking an impressive nine points from 15 up for grabs.
Sitting third in the table, West Brom can pose quite a threat to the Canaries’ promotion plans, holding an impressive 31 points from 15 games. Whilst still participating in the Premier League Cup, the Baggies have won four of their last five fixtures, losing just one.
The Canaries last played West Brom back in October of the current 2019-20 season, the game ending in the Baggies favour 4-2.
With just six games of the season, it’s bound to be a tough test for each side. West Brom hoping to keep their foothold on a play-off position, whilst City are hoping to climb a few places to land one.
