Teemu Pukki will miss Norwich City’s trip to Manchester United on Saturday with a hamstring problem.
The Finn sat out last weekend’s FA Cup victory over Preston North End and has failed to recover from the problem in time for the Old Trafford trip.
However, Daniel Farke said Pukki could return to team training next week and be available for City’s home game against Bournemouth on January 18.
Another striking option for Farke in the form of Josip Drmic will also miss the game with his own hamstring problem.
Elsewhere, Ralf Fährmann has shaken off a groin problem and will travel with the squad. Jamal Lewis and Grant Hanley are minor doubts after suffering with illness earlier on in the week but the City boss says both will make the trip.
Longer-term absentees Timm Klose and Ben Godfrey (both knee) are still unavailable but Farke said a return for Godfrey to team training could happen next week.
