260 Norwich City fans were in attendance at Thursday's Evening with Jeff Stelling at Carrow Road, which was sponsored by AKS Skip Hire.
Jeff took to the stage to discuss his glittering career as a sports broadcaster, before answering questions from the audience, who also enjoyed a three-course meal courtesy of Delia Smith's team of chefs.
Speaking to canaries.co.uk on the night, Stelling said he was delighted to be welcomed back to Carrow Road.
"I've known Delia a long time and we go back a long way. I did an event here probably 15 years ago and she’s always been fantastic to me. She helped me on Countdown!
“It’s always been a great club to come to so when she asked me, I said yes without hesitation.”
One moment from last season that City fans may associate with Stelling was our Boxing Day comeback against Nottingham Forest, in which we came from 3-0 down in the final 15 minutes to draw! It’s one Jeff remembers fondly.
“That was one of the most impossible comebacks, a crazy, crazy game,” he said. “I don’t go out and about enough to get to Norwich much but it’s a good club to cover. Last season was a great story with them going up.
“In the last few games people have begun to think ‘hang on, we’ve written Norwich off’. Maybe we wrote them off too soon!”
