Przemyslaw Placheta made his bow for the Poland senior team on Wednesday evening in their friendly win over Ukraine in Chorzów.
Placheta played 83 minutes before being substituted for Sebastian Szymanski. Krzysztof Piatek and Jakub Moder scored the goals for the Poles in a comfortable 2-0 victory.
The City winger was heavily involved for Moder's goal, putting in a delightful cross for the Polish striker to head onto the post, however Moder was on hand to finish at the second attempt.
Elsewhere, Danel Sinani came on as a second-half substitute in Luxembourg's friendly defeat against Austria.
Tim Krul was an unused substitute in Netherlands' defeat to Spain, although the City stopper is expected to start both of Frank de Boer's side's Nations League matches against Bosnia and Poland over the coming days.
Finally for Wednesday's action, Teemu Pukki came on as an 80th minute substitute in Finland's shock win over France in Paris, with Brentford's Marcus Forss among the scorers.
Pukki is set to feature heavily for the Huuhkajat in their Nations League matches against Bulgaria and Wales.
