Loan Round-Up: McCallum shows creativity again

Sam McCallum followed his goal on the weekend with an assist for Coventry City on Tuesday night.

The City loanee delivered a cross for Callum O’Hare to head in the equalising goal in the 57th minute of the Sky Blues 2-1 loss away to Nottingham Forest.

In starting the game, McCallum made his 50th appearance for the club.

Coventry are now 21st in the Championship.

Elsewhere in England’s second tier, there was a clean sheet for Tom Trybull, who played 57 minutes of Blackburn Rovers’ 0-0 draw at home to Middlesbrough.

Tony Mowbray’s side now sit 17th in the league.

In League One, there were midweek minutes for City loanees Carlton Morris and Louis Thompson at Milton Keynes Dons.

Morris played the full 90 minutes of their 0-0 draw away to Northampton Town on Tuesday, while Thompson came on in the 36th minute for his 150th senior appearance in professional football.

Russell Martin’s side are now 19th in the third tier.

Over in the Netherlands, Sebastian Soto came on at half-time for SC Telstar’s 1-1 draw away to Jong AZ, but was unable to find a winning goal.

Telstar are now seventh in the Eerste Divisie.

Finally, Matthew Richardson played 90 minutes of Leiston’s 1-0 win at home to Kings Langley on Tuesday. The result leaves them 21st in the Isthmian Southern League Premier Division Central.
