Three Norwich City first-team players could feature for their respective international sides for UEFA Euro 2020 play-offs on Thursday night.
Adam Idah could feature for the Republic of Ireland against Slovakia in their Euro 2020 semi-final qualifiers, a win taking them just one more game away from booking their place in the Euros next year (7:45pm KO).
The Republic of Ireland’s last outing came in the UEFA Nations League in September, facing Teemu Pukki’s Finland. The latter came out on top, after a late goal from Fredrik Jensen saw the Huuhkajat take all three points.
A short journey from the Republic to Northern Ireland sees Michael McGovern in contention for the number one spot in goal for their Euro qualifier against Bosnia and Herzegovina (7:45pm KO).
Last time out in the UEFA Nations League, McGovern’s side took a 5-1 loss to Norway, the City ‘keeper on the bench.
City midfielder Kenny McLean could also make an appearance for Scotland in their Euro qualifier against Israel on Thursday evening (7:45pm KO). Much like his Canary teammates, a win would see the Scots to the final of the qualifiers, leaving them a game away from the official tournament next year.
Scotland last played the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League, taking a 2-1 win with McLean the sole defensive midfielder.
