Max Aarons and Przemylsaw Placheta notched assists for England U21s and Poland U21s respectively on Friday night.
Alongside Ben Godfrey, Todd Cantwell and Oliver Skipp, Aarons was one of four Canaries to be involved in the Three Lions 6-0 win away to Kosovo in the UEFA Euro U21 qualifiers, all goals coming in the second half.
Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah was the star of the show, netting a hat-trick to keep England well on top of Group C. But it was Reiss Nelson who profited from a brilliant piece of attacking play from Aarons in the 66th minute.
Our number two showed excellent footwork to zip onto the edge of the 18-yard-box and put a powerful cross in for Nelson to send into the roof of the net.
Poland were also on the right end of a 6-0 score-line, beating Estonia U21s to keep the pressure on Russia in Group E.
Placheta got two assists (not one goal and one assist, as previously reported) in the 67 minutes he was on the pitch.
Elsewhere, Jamal Lewis played the full 90 minutes of Northern Ireland’s 1-1 draw away to Romania - a result which sees them sit second in League B Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League.
Jacob Sorensen, Michael McGovern, Tim Krul and Kenny McLean were all unused substitutes in their games on Friday.
