Norwich City are delighted to confirm that we are working in partnership with our official legal partner Fosters Solicitors LLP to celebrate the Community Hero initiative throughout the 2020-21 season.
Once a month, the club and Fosters will highlight a deserving community-minded individual as the ‘Community Hero’ for a selected matchday.
Whether the individual works in the emergency services or the armed forces, is a carer or charity champion, a superfan or a regional sporting hero, the initiative celebrates their contribution to the local community.
During the 2019-20 season before matches were played behind-closed-doors, the club’s monthly Community Heroes attended games at Carrow Road and played a special part in carrying the match ball out on to the pitch prior to kick-off.
In light of the current situation, whilst we’re unsure as to when we’ll be able to get our next group of Community Heroes together at Carrow Road, in the interim we will be sure to champion their efforts across the club’s media channels and to the wider community.
There are no restrictions as to who can nominate or be nominated. If there is anyone that you think deserves special recognition, nominate your Community Hero here.
Commenting on their involvement this season, Fosters’ Chief Executive Chris Brown said: “We are proud to be supporting Norwich City’s Community Hero initiative for this season. For a number of years now it’s helped to highlight the great work of some wonderful people and organisations in our local community, and for us to be able to be involved is something we’re delighted about.”
