Eight Norwich City loanees got minutes under their belts for their respective clubs over the past week.
Carlton Morris saw the most action - playing 69 minutes of MK Dons’ 4-1 friendly defeat at home to Arsenal on Tuesday as well as an hour of Saturday’s 2-2 friendly draw at Fulham.
Speaking in a recent press conference, Morris said: “Seeing the lads in training and in games, you can tell it is really coming along well. It’s good because you can see the process is working and the team is gelling more and more with each week. I’m so excited for the season now.”
Morris’ colleague and fellow City loanee Louis Thompson also started the Arsenal game, but was forced off with an injury after 31 minutes.
Over in the Netherlands, City Academy midfielder Daniel Adshead is making a good impression for SC Telstar. After featuring in Tuesday’s 4-0 friendly defeat away to Heracles, he made his official debut by featuring in 79 minutes of Sunday’s 2-2 draw at home to FC Volendam.
In the Eerste Divisie, Telstar are now eighth in the league after the first round of fixtures have been played.
Rocky Bushiri continued to hold his place in the KV Mechelen starting eleven in Belgium, as he played 90 minutes of their 1-0 defeat away to Gent on Sunday.
One win, one draw and two defeats from their first four games leave Mechelen 12th in the 18-team table of the Belgian Pro League.
In Iceland’s top tier, Isak Thorvaldsson played 81 minutes of IA Akranes’ 4-1 league defeat away to KR Reykjavik on Sunday.
Akranes are now eighth with 14 points from 12 games in the 2020 Úrvalsdeild season.
