Norwich City is delighted to reveal our new and improved Captain Canary!
We are really excited to launch the new Captain Canary, who has a friendly, approachable persona for our younger supporters. The new mascot has been created to be more energetic and active thanks to the new design, so keep an eye out for some mascot cartwheels at games in the future!

With the current Captain Canary costume being in place for over 25 years, the club felt it was time to give our popular mascot an exciting new look ahead of our return to the Premier League.
The new Captain Canary will become the face of our Junior Canaries activity moving forward and the club is really looking forward to the day when our younger fans can finally meet him in person for some photos, hi-fives and even a spot of dancing!
Junior Canaries also ran a special competition as part of our partnership with Lotus Cars, challenging the company’s staff and their children to design Captain Canary’s new boots. Nicole (aged 10) was named the winner of this competition and her boot design has been manufactured and is now sported by Captain Canary.
To celebrate the launch of the new Captain Canary, we have also created a whole host of content and activities on our Junior Canaries website. Head over to the link below for our special Focus On Captain Canary feature including a profile and timeline containing fun facts and information about our mascot, a quiz to test your knowledge and a competition to win Captain Canary’s new shirt!
