Match Preview: Norwich City v Huddersfield Town

5 April 2021

With seven league games to go, Norwich City welcome Huddersfield Town to Carrow Road for Tuesday's 7.45pm kick-off.

Our Match Preview looks at the Terriers' season so far, the officials in charge of the match, and how you can follow the action live from home.

The opposition

At the time of writing, Huddersfield are 18th in the Championship with 11 wins, ten draws, 17 defeats and 43 points.

Recent form has been quietly impressive, though, Carlos Corberan's side unbeaten in their last five with four draws and one win.

Most recently, Huddersfield held Brentford to a 1-1 draw at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

The goals haven't been flying in, however. Since an emphatic 4-1 win at home to Swansea City in February, the Terriers have scored just four goals across seven games.

Fraizer Campbell is the top scorer so far this season with seven goals in all competitions.

Head-to-head

In the 44 meetings between Norwich and Huddersfield since 1960, there have been 14 City wins, 13 Town wins and 17 draws.

The last time we met was the opening game of the 2020-21 season, Adam Idah's late goal securing three points for Norwich that day.

Huddersfield haven't played at Carrow Road since an Elias Kachunga brace saw them win 2-1 in the Championship in December 2016.

Ref watch

Jarred Gillett has been appointed to take charge of Tuesday's game, Paul Hodskinson and Philip Dermott his assistants and Joshua Smith the fourth official.

Gillett was previously in the middle of a Norwich game for February's 2-0 win away to Coventry City.
