Norwich City loanee Timm Klose scored his second goal of the season for FC Basel with a header against FC Sion on Thursday night.
Klose’s only other goal this season came against the same opponent in December. On Thursday, his opening goal contributed to a 3-2 win for Basel.
That was followed by a 2-2 draw at home to FC Lugano on Sunday, putting Basel second in the Swiss Super League, eight points behind Young Boys who have a game in hand.

In the Football League, Louis Thompson played 58 minutes of Milton Keynes Dons’ 2-0 win at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, the three points putting them 16th in League One.
Philip Heise was also on a winning side on the weekend as Karlsruher SC beat Vfl Bochum on Sunday to go fifth in the 2. Bundesliga, but Heise left the field with an injury in the 52nd minute.
In the Championship, Sam McCallum played 90 minutes of Coventry City’s 1-1 draw at Birmingham City on Saturday, giving away a penalty that Jeremie Bela scored for Birmingham’s opener.
The Sky Blues are now 17th in the second tier.
Elsewhere, Dan Adshead featured for the first hour of SC Telstar’s 1-1 draw away to Helmond Sport on Friday. Telstar are now eighth in the Eerste Divisie.
In the National League, Archie Mair was on the wrong end of a 2-0 scoreline as King’s Lynn Town lost at home to Wrexham. The Linnets sit 20th in the division.
Tyrese Omotoye made his second appearance for Swindon Town, coming on in the 84th minute of their 1-0 defeat at Hull City on Saturday. The Robins are now 22nd in League One.
