Match Preview: Millwall v Norwich City

2 February 2021

Norwich City look to get back to winning ways with tonight’s trip to Millwall in the Sky Bet Championship (6pm KO).

Our Match Preview looks at the Lions’ season so far,our head-to-head record with them and how you can follow the action from home.

The opposition

With six wins, 13 draws and seven defeats so far in the league this season, Millwall sit 16th in the division ahead of tonight’s game.

January saw Millwall defeated by Coventry City and Nottingham Forest in the league, while there were draws against AFC Bournemouth, Watford and Cardiff City as well as a win over Huddersfield Town.

They also beat Boreham Wood in the third round of the FA Cup before being knocked out by Bristol City.

Jed Wallace is the club’s top goalscorer so far this season with six goals to his name in 2020-21.

Millwall’s last home win came against Luton Town in October, so Gary Rowett’s side will be looking to rectify that at The Den this evening.

Head-to-head

In the 86 meetings between Norwich and Millwall since 1920, there have been 38 Norwich wins, 26 Millwall wins and 22 draws.

Last time we met was at the start of November at Carrow Road, a goalless draw earning a point apiece.

As for our previous trip to The Den, that came in March 2019 when goals from Marco Stiepermann, Christoph Zimmermann and Teemu Pukki secured a 3-1 win on the way to the Championship title.
