Loan Round-Up: Fitzpatrick scores in Scottish Cup second round

Norwich City loanee Aidan Fitzpatrick got on the scoresheet for Queen of the South in their big cup win on Friday night.

Queen of the South beat Queen’s Park 3-0 with Fitzpatrick scoring the second goal of the match, and they’ve now been drawn at home to Hibernian for the Scottish Cup third round.

There was also victory for Philip Heise last week, who returned from suspension to play 90 minutes of Karlsruher SC’s 3-2 win at home to Furth on Friday. The former are now eighth in the 2. Bundesliga.

Archie Mair and Simon Power played 90 and 78 minutes respectively of King’s Lynn Town’s 1-1 draw at home to FC Halifax Town on Saturday. The Linnets are now 20th in the National League.

It was a double header for Caleb Richards, who played the entirety of Kidderminster Harriers’ 2-2 draw at home to York City on Tuesday and 3-2 defeat away to Gloucester City on Saturday.

The weekend defeat saw Harriers fall to fourth in the National League North.

In the FA Cup, Blackburn Rovers lost 1-0 at home to Doncaster Rovers, with Tom Trybull playing 64 minutes of the third round tie at Ewood Park.

City pair Sebastian Soto and Dan Adshead both featured for SC Telstar in their 2-0 defeat at De Graafschap on Friday night. Telstar are now eighth in the Eerste Divisie.

William Hondermarck made his Harrogate Town debut just days after joining the Sulphurites, coming on as a substitute in the 81st minute in the side's 2-1 loss to Cambridge United in League Two.

While there was no competitive football for FC Basel, the Swiss side did play a friendly match at home to FC Thun, drawing 2-2 on Saturday with Timm Klose playing the first half.
