Five Norwich City loanees have already got minutes under their belts on loan ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Goalkeeper Daniel Barden was first to feature, making his debut for Livingston FC in a 3-0 win at home to East Stirlingshire on Saturday, July 3.
He played 62 minutes of that game and 59 minutes of the following friendly - a 4-0 win at home to Arbroath.
Elsewhere in Scotland, midfielder Reece McAlear was the next City loanee to get minutes, as he played the first half of Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s 1-1 draw against Aberdeen.
On Tuesday, he played 57 minutes of their 2-0 win against Peterhead in the Scottish League Cup to go second in Group A.
Both the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Championship begin on the weekend of Saturday, July 31.
Josip Drmic was next up, as he marked his return to HNK Rijeka with a 4-3 win against MTK Budapest in the club’s final pre-season friendly before the 1. HNL begins on Saturday.
Akin Famewo got 45 minutes at the start of his second loan spell at Charlton Athletic, who began pre-season with a 2-1 defeat at home to Celtic.
He then played the second half of Tuesday's 3-0 win away to Welling United.
Finally, Josh Martin made his debut for Milton Keynes Dons, playing for an hour in their 3-1 win against King's Lynn Town on Tuesday.
