Teemu Pukki eased Finland's concerns over his fitness ahead of EURO 2020 by making his return to action in their 1-0 friendly defeat to Estonia on Friday evening.
Pukki damaged ankle ligaments as Norwich City clinched the Championship title back on May 1 against Reading and there were fears he could miss Finland's first appearance at a major tournament.
However, City's top scorer for three consecutive seasons made his return to action in Helsinki, coming on as a 61st minute substitute against Estonia.
Finland lost the match 1-0 and open their EURO 2020 campaign next Saturday against Denmark in Copenhagen (5pm UK).
The only other international action involving City's squad on Friday evening saw goalkeeper Dan Barden make his Wales Under-21s debut.
Barden was called up to the squad in March but was forced to withdraw through injury, however he made his long-awaited debut as Wales opened their U21 European Championship qualifying campaign with a goalless draw against Moldova.
