International round-up: Netherlands qualify for knockout phase of EURO 2020

The Netherlands qualified for the knockout phase of EURO 2020 on Thursday evening with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Austria in Group C.

After edging past Ukraine in their opening match, the Netherlands put in an efficient display against Austria, with goals in each half from Memphis Depay and Denzel Dumfries sealing their passage through to the last 16 as group winners.

City goalkeeper Tim Krul was an unused substitute for the match in Amsterdam, with teammate Maarten Stekelenburg continuing to deputise in goal.
