Norwich City Football Club are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to join the Academy Coaching Team in the role of London Academy Coach.
Casual London Academy Coach
Location: Lotus Training Centre, Norwich
Contract and Hours: Casual
This is an excellent role for someone who is positive, energetic and enjoys being “on the grass”, contributing strongly to the development of Academy players.
The role will involve working with teams within the Youth Development Phase, primarily the Under 13, 14 and 15 age groups. The primary purpose of the role is to form part of the coaching team within these age groups contributing to the delivery and implementation of the Norwich City coaching and playing philosophy. The successful individual will also form part of the support structure around the London based players within the Academy. This includes players on the full time training model and players on trial with the Academy.
The successful individual will have the opportunity to travel to Norwich for at least one of the Youth Development Phase day release afternoon & evening training sessions as well as for games on Sundays (a large proportion of which are located in the London area). The successful candidate will be asked to utilise club provided transport to attend training and games to ensure maximum support is provided to our London based players.
This is a new role which is important in contributing to the long term vision of Norwich City in operating a high standard Category 1 Academy while producing first team footballers. We are looking for an individual who is an outstanding role model with the ability to connect, build rapport and support young people. Experience of working within Academy football is desirable but not essential. An enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop within the Norwich City structure is a must as well as the desire to support the progression of young players.
- UEFA B Licence
- FA Youth Award
- Experience of working with teenagers in a development or support setting
