Norwich City duo Kenny McLean and Grant Hanley both featured for all 90 minutes in Scotland’s 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands on Wednesday evening.
McLean and Hanley both made starts for Scotland in the World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands, keeping a clean sheet in a rampant 4-0 win which now places the Scots second in Group F of the qualifying round.
Max Aarons and Oliver Skipp started for England Under-21s in their crucial last game in the group stages of the U21 EURO Under-21 Championship against Croatia. The Young Lions needed Portugal to beat Switzerland in the same group, as well as a win of their own by two goals to progress.
Aarons and Skipp played out the whole 90 minutes of their heartbreaking last-minute result against Croatia, with Todd Cantwell coming on in the 72nd minute.
Dimitris Giannoulis started for Greece against Georgia, the City left-back playing out a 1-1 draw against the side in their World Cup qualifiers. Greece now have two points in Group B as they round off their international break.
Teemu Pukki was benched for Finland in their international friendly against Switzerland, the striker coming on in the 77th minute in their 3-2 loss to the Swiss side.
Przemyslaw Placheta was benched for Poland in their World Cup qualifier against England, the forward an unused substitute in their 2-1 loss to the Three Lions. The result sees Poland finish the international break with four points.
