Teemu Pukki has won the Falcon Power Player of the Month award for February.
After two games without a goal at the start of the month against Millwall and Swansea City, the Norwich City forward couldn’t stop scoring.
Pukki scored seven goals across five games in February against Stoke City, Coventry City, Rotherham United, Birmingham City and Wycombe Wanderers.
“Thanks a lot to all the fans for voting,” he said. “It was a great month, not the best start I would say, but we grew up a lot in that month and got many good points. For myself as well, to get some goals, I was pretty happy with February and I hope we can keep going the same way.”
Emi Buendia assisted all but one of those seven goals, and the partnership between the pair continues to go from strength to strength.
“I enjoy playing with Emi and he’s a wonderful player as we’ve seen,” Pukki added. “It’s easy to play with him, he knows what I’m doing and I know what he’s doing so we have a good connection between us. Hopefully, there are many more goals to come between us.”
With 18 goals to his name for the 2020-21 season, Pukki insisted his sights are firmly set on the team goal and nothing else - promotion to the Premier League.
“Of course I want to score as much as I can, but have only one goal in my mind and that’s going up to the Premier League. I know if I score goals it will help us to do that, but I don’t have any targets for how many I want to end up with.”
