Norwich City midfielder Emi Buendia has been named in the upcoming senior Argentina squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Colombia.
Buendia's inclusion in Lionel Scaloni's squad is his first at senior international level for the country of his birth, meaning he could feature in their matches on June 4 (1am) and June 9 (12am).
Buendia last represented Argentina at Under-20 level when they played at the U20 World Cup in 2015.
The call-up caps a remarkable season for the 21-year-old. He scored 15 goals and created a further 16 for his teammates in 41 appearances as the Canaries won the Sky Bet Championship.
Over recent weeks, Buendia has been named 2020-21 Championship and Norwich City player of the season.
