Three Norwich City loan players were in action last week, all playing matches on the continent.
Dan Adshead came off the bench at half-time as SC Telstar were trailing at home to Jong Ajax. However, it didn’t take him long to get into the action as two minutes into the second half he provided an assist for Ilias Bronkhorst to equalise. However, the White Lions went onto lose the match 2-1 and now sit just one place ahead of Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie table in 13th.
In Croatia, Josip Drmic netted for Rijeka as they boosted their chances of qualifying for Europe with a 3-2 victory over Varadzin. The on-loan City striker also played 90 minutes.
Philip Heise played a full 90 minutes in defence for Karlsrusher as they recorded a shock victory against inform Holstein Kiel in Bundesliga 2. Holstien, who are second in the table, came into the match on the back of four straight wins. However, they were trailing 3-1 going into the final stages of the game when Heise gave away a penalty. It was converted by Alexander Bieler, but thankfully Karlsrusher held on for a victory which kept them seventh in table.
