Additional Matchday Security Measures
Supporters attending games at Carrow Road from this season are advised of extra security measures as they enter the stadium on matchdays.
Following on from the recent terrible and tragic incidents in both London and Manchester, security at events held across the country have been reviewed, including those in Norwich - most notably here at the recent Take That concerts at Carrow Road back in June.
The Club continues to consult with local authorities, including Norfolk Constabulary, with public safety at all events and matchdays here at Norwich City of utmost priority to the Football Club. Therefore similar to those employed at stadiums across the country there will continue to be an enhanced security presence at all matches played at Carrow Road - as well as limitations on items that can be brought into the ground, including restrictions on bag sizes. There will also be an increased level of checks and searches prior to entering the stadium.
Due to the extra security arrangements, all supporters are advised to arrive at the venue and enter the ground as early as possible. This will allow the required time to carry out these additional security checks that are likely to lengthen queuing times.
A list of those items not permitted inside the stadium can be found here
We would advise all fans who bring bags to matches to review the size of the bag and its contents to prevent delays at turnstiles. For security reasons the Club will not be able to store items for supporters during the game.
• Please arrive early to allow time for the extra security searches and checks. These will lengthen queues.
• Bags larger than 40cm x 35cm x 19cm (small bag/handbag) will NOT be allowed into the stadium.
• Supporters should be vigilant and report anything which causes them concern or which they think may constitute a safety risk to the nearest security or police personnel.
Norwich City would like to thank our supporters for their help and co-operation for making Carrow Road a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
