Norwich City Women FC, previously named Norwich City Ladies, was formed in 1998 when local rivals Norwich Ladies and Norwich Racers joined together. Norwich City Ladies became Norwich City FC official women’s team and have proudly worn the famous yellow and green since. The club’s two founder members Jackie Thornton and Emma Fletcher, both from CSF, are still very supportive of the club.
Over the years the team has enjoyed great success, winning the League Cup in 2003-04, 2009-10 and 2013-14. The club lifted the Norfolk Women’s County Cup in five consecutive seasons. Following a temporary withdrawal from the competition the club re-entered the competition in 2017-18.
NCWFC work very closely with CSF to create successful pathways for players to progress from the Norwich City Girls Academy, Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) and the Norwich City CSF 16-18 Football & Education programme.
The management group of Norwich City Women FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Shaun Howes as the team’s new head coach.
