MICHAEL McGovern joined Norwich City on a free transfer in July 2016, reuniting with then manager Alex Neil who he previously worked with at Hamilton Academical.

A Northern Ireland international goalkeeper, McGovern moved to Scotland to join Celtic at the start of his career, prior to taking in loan moves at Stranraer and St Johnstone.

He enjoyed a brief spell at Dundee United, ahead of greater success at Ross County, winning the Scottish Challenge Cup in 2011.

McGovern won the competition again the following year, this time representing Falkirk - notably keeping clean sheets in successive finals.

Linking up with Hamilton in the summer of 2014, McGovern's form saw him become a regular for the national side, going on to star at Euro 2016 before completing a switch to Carrow Road.

In his first season at Carrow Road, McGovern shared goalkeeping duties with John Ruddy, making 22 appearances in all competitions.
