ALEX Neil has confirmed he aims to give latest recruits Andre Wisdom and Robbie Brady their maiden appearances in Norwich City colours against Brentford at Carrow Road on Saturday (3pm).

The pair completed their respective moves to Norfolk on Wednesday, taking the Canaries' summer additions to four.

Ahead of City's final pre-season friendly before starting their 2015-16 Barclays Premier League campaign, Neil told the media at Colney Training Centre on Friday: "I expect the two new boys to be involved at some stage.

"Robbie is a good player with international experience, who has excellent pedigree having come through at Manchester United. He adds competition to the left-side, while Andre gives us flexibility on the right and is another talented young player.

"We wanted to bring in young and hungry players with a point to prove, and they certainly fit the bill. The flanks are where we've been relatively short, so they'll add competition, which is important.

"We've got a good bunch, so provided we keep working how we have since I've been here we should be fine."

With just eight days left before the competitve curtain-raiser against Crystal Palace, City's manager also delivered positive news on the injury-front.

Cameron Jerome left the field early against Cambridge United prior to the team's recent tour of Austria and Germany, but Neil explained: "He will be in the squad as he’s been training with us and has come through everything fine.

"Martin Olsson is making very good progress too, and we’re hopeful he may enter full training next week. He’s pain-free and moving freely now, which is good.

"We're still looking to bring people in to strengthen the squad. It's very much an active process for us.

"You can't reflect too much on what's gone before because people quickly forget that. We need to look at the next challenge, which is picking up points in the Premier League."
