Norwich City FC launched a competition in October for fans to nominate someone who they felt deserved a £10,000 makeover courtesy of Anglian. The competition ended in January with a deserving winner being selected after a very heartfelt entry from Matthew Wastell, who nominated his mum, Michelle.

"I believe my mum deserves to win this makeover because of how much she has sacrificed to support me and my sisters," wrote Matthew.

"She is an amazing role model, and a truly fantastic woman who is the most selfless person I know and will ever know.

"She has given everything to ensure that I'm supported at university even when her funds may be limited. Therefore I would love for her to win this home makeover because I know she has many plans for the home, but because she is helping me get through university, she can't afford it!"

The news was kept a secret from Michelle, who was invited to the Anglian Executive box at Carrow Road with Matthew and her family to have a lovely three course meal and watch Norwich City FC take on West Ham United.

After the game, Matthew and Michelle were invited to go pitch side to present the Anglian Man of the Match award. Michelle did not realise that she was in for a big surprise!

Michelle has had all new double glazed windows installed in her home along with 2 sets of French doors. The renovation has given her home a fresh new look, as well as stopping the build-up of condensation – just some of the benefits we'd expect to hear from an Anglian customer.

"It's made a tremendous change,” Michelle commented after the makeover was completed. "It was a completely hassle-free experience and it's made the home feel warmer overall."
